Given below are the various Postal Courses on offer from Vajiram and Ravi which can be availed by prospective students:-

Following is a brief description of the postal courses :-
General Studies (Main)
There will be a total of 7-8 books in GS running into approximately 2800 printed pages. The books are as follows:- Volumes on Indian Polity, Geography, Modern Indian History, Statistics, Indian Economy, Science and Technology, Current Affairs (covering National Issues, International Affairs, Miscellaneous topics covering 2-markers and 5-markers). Students preparing for 2012 Main Exam can order the material now. We will send the updated Volumes for Main 2012 on Indian Polity, Geography, Modern Indian History, Indian Economy at once. Statistics will be sent to the students in Feb 2012. Updated versions of Science and Technology, Current Affairs (in 2 or 3 books) relating to 2012 Main will be sent to the students in August/September 2012.

General Studies (Preliminary + Main)
In addition to the General Studies (Main) material (approximately 2800 printed pages), Preliminary material would comprise of the following (approximately 2000 printed pages):- Volumes on Ancient India, Medieval India, General Science (comprising of Biology, Physics and Chemistry) will be sent to the students in January 2012. Volume on Indian Economy (focusing on Pre) will be sent in February 2012. Current Affairs material focusing on events from May 2011 till March 2012 will be provided in the form of around five magazines which will be regularly dispatched to students starting in January 2012.

Aptitude Test (CSAT)
Aptitude Test material will be around 1000 printed pages. The material will consist of Volumes on Quantitative ability, Logical Ability, Analytical Ability, Reading Comprehension, Decision Making and General mental ability.
The entire material will be dispatched in at most 2 installments starting in January 2012.

Public Administration
Public Administration material has been updated for Main 2012 and is available right now. There are a total of 5 books in Public Administration of which four books will be dispatched as soon as your application and the applicable fee is received by us. The fifth book will be sent in March 2012. The material on Public Administration runs into more than 1600 printed pages, with about 40 diagrams to illustrate.

Students are advised to read 2nd ARC Reports on Law and Order (5th report) which can be found here http://arc.gov.in/5th%20REPORT.pdf. Other ARC Reports can be found here http://arc.gov.in/ which will cover the Significant Issues in Indian Administration.

We DONT have postal material for any other subjects.

The reading material for all the subjects, on offer, will cover all the aspects of the syllabus of a subject. Since the current affairs part of the General Studies covers not only current affairs part proper, but also the other portions of the General Studies paper such as Cultural History, Indian Polity, Economics and Science & Technology, it will be accorded special attention by the team of experts preparing the General Studies material. The following procedures will be adopted in despatching the material to the candidate :

The material will normally be despatched in two or three instalments.

For the Main Examination, the first installment will be despatched from our office from the third week of January. The Current Affairs portion of the General Studies and other portions of optional subjects, if any, will be sent in the last week of September or the first week of October.

The material will be sent by courier. Normally, it takes about 7 days to reach its destination.

At times, because of factors beyond our control, there may be delay in despatching the material to candidates. But, as far as possible, in the interest of the students, the despatch schedule given above will be adhered to.

The candidate is advised to inform us the change, if any, in his/her mailing address atleast 10 days in advance.

The material supplied to the candidate is the property of M/S Vajiram & Ravi and is meant for the private use of the candidate only. It shall not be lent, photocopied, typed, sold or otherwise by her/him or allow others to misuse it

Fee
General Studies (Main) Rs. 2000/- by post and Rs. 1700/- by hand.
General Studies (Preliminary + Main) Rs. 3000/- by post and Rs. 2700/- by hand.
General Studies (Preliminary + Main) + Aptitude Test (CSAT) Rs. 4000/- by post and Rs. 3700/- by hand.
Aptitude Test (CSAT) Rs. 1000/- by post and Rs. 800/- by hand.
Public Administration Rs. 1800/- by post and Rs. 1600/- by hand.
Fees has to be paid only by DD for the full amount favouring “Vajiram and Ravi“ payable at Delhi/ New Delhi.
